At Nura, we believe your health data is among the most personal information there is. This policy explains exactly what we collect, why we collect it, and how we protect it — in plain language, without the fine print.
Nura is a health technology company building a wellness bracelet designed to help aging adults and their families stay connected and informed. Our services include this website, our waitlist, and — when launched — the Nura bracelet hardware and its companion mobile app (iOS and Android).
References to "Nura," "we," "us," or "our" in this policy refer to Nura and its affiliated entities. You can reach us at privacy@nura.ws.
When you join our waitlist, create an account on our website, or set up the Nura app, we collect:
When the Nura bracelet is in use, it continuously collects physiological signals including heart rate, movement, sleep patterns, skin temperature, and other biometric indicators. This data is transmitted to the Nura app and our secure servers, where it is processed to generate personalised wellness insights.
We automatically collect basic information when you visit our website, use the Nura mobile app, or interact with bracelet hardware: IP address, browser and app version, device identifiers, pages or screens visited, and time spent. We use this to keep our services running well and to improve them.
We do not sell your personal information — including your health data — to advertisers or third-party marketers. Ever.
We share your information only in the following limited circumstances:
We work with trusted vendors (for example, cloud hosting, email delivery, and payment processing) who process data on our behalf under strict confidentiality agreements. They may only use your data to provide services to us.
If you are a bracelet user, you control — through the Nura app — who receives your wellness summaries. No data is shared with family members without your explicit in-app consent.
We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Nura, our users, or the public.
If Nura is acquired or merges with another company, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you before this happens and your rights under this policy will continue to apply.
We treat health and biometric data with an additional layer of care:
We keep your personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. If you ask us to delete your account, we will remove your data within 30 days, except where we are required by law to retain it.
Anonymised, aggregated data (which cannot identify you) may be retained for research and product improvement purposes.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
To exercise any of these rights, email us at privacy@nura.ws. We will respond within 30 days.
Our website uses a minimal number of cookies necessary for the site to function correctly (for example, to remember your preferences). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking.
You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though this may affect some functionality.
Nura is designed for adults. Our services are not directed at anyone under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a child has provided us with their information, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we make material changes, we will notify you by email (if you are on our waitlist) and update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of our services after the change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
